Why I cant get into ketosis?

@anacarnivore forgive my ignorance but I don’t understand why you would want to get into ketosis. As a 50ish years of diabetes I have experienced diabetic ketoacidosis and it can be life threatening. Isn’t ketosis similar? It was explained to me that carbohydrates are the first choice of fuel for the body. If you can’t metabolize carbs, the body turns to fats. Ketones are the by product of burnt up fat and can be toxic (life threatening). It seems like it could be tempting to get rid of fat as a weight loss strategy but there must be better ways IMHO. Do you have a professional supervising this diet?

Hi! Thanks for your comment! Ketosis is an state in which ocurrs autophagy and your body becomes healthier. Ketoacidosis is something completely different and bad for your health and mainly takes place when you are diabetic and misregulate your insuline levels.
