Ivermectin: Can it clear cancer? Anyone use this?

I just read an article about ivermectin clearing esophageal cancer from a patient that was stage 4 and had metastasis to his bones. Has anyone tried this or heard of it clearing cancer?

Chemo and radiation 3 years ago. Scanned twice afterwards. Haven't been back for a scan in 2 years. Will never do radiation ever again.

I cannot do radiation again! They tell me I have half my lifetime limit. And I keep finding further damage from the radiation, six years later …

Curious why not another scan?

I was in an exclusive, private International Hospital in Thailand. Looking back I realize it was there to make money as is any private, for profit hospital. I just blindly just followed the doctor's advice when he said not surgery but rather a treat ment of 5 chemo sessions and 35 radiations sessions. The cancer was detected on my tonsil (which I thought were removed in childhood). A special mask was developed to encase my head and direct the radiation precisely to the cancerous cell (15-20 minutes per session daily for 7 weeks, I would have to hve a feeding tube inserted into my stomach after about 3 weeks because I would not be able to swallow. I also could never eat anything spicy for the rest of my life. They said things would normalize after a few weeks after all the procedures. My mouth seemed to be constantly on fire and developed a white coating that never went away. The doctor told me it would take time and prescribed a Lanacaine concoction for the mouth pain. I still never went away and food turned into mush when trying to eat. Had 2 scans over the following year and they said cancer was gine. But my quality of life has greatly diminished. Pain in my mouth never went away. I am now taking Ivermectin daily and Methylene blue and it seems to be helping. Who knows?

I wasn't aware that radiation had a shelf life. I would never do it again.

Hi streetlite,

How long ago was your treatment? Did you have tonsil and esophageal cancers?

I am so sorry that your side effects continued so long after treatment.

Based on my online research, most tonsil cancers, throat cancers and anal cancers are squamous cell carcinomas caused by hpv16 virus that was not effectively cleared by our immune systems. If you have ever had sex in the past 20 years and your immune system was not able to eliminate hpv16 virus, you may get one of these 3 squamous cell carcinomas. Hpv16 vaccine is now available to young people to prevent cancer.

Treatment for all HPV16 related cancers seems to be similar. Current generally accepted treatment for anal cancer is nigro regimen with 30 rounds of radiation and mitotycin antibiotic push through a port followed by 4 days of slow 5fu in weeks 1 and 5. 5fu can cause painful mouth and throat ulcerations and blisters plus nerve damage in fingers and toes (dead ends for chemo drug settlement, like hair follicles). Ice therapy during chemo may be helpful (like cold caps for breast cancer chemo regimen), but you can’t keep icing mouth, hands, feet and head 24/7 while chemo is flowing through port.

My radiation oncologist told me that tonsil cancer requires 35 rounds of radiation and is one of the most painful treatments. I learned (a little late) that pain management solution is “Magic mouthwash” (lidocaine and maalox) and continuous ice in mouth. Insist on getting a prescription for magic mouthwash b4 treatment begins.

I would love to see tonsil, throat and anal cancer comments posted together as hpv16 caused cancers. Treatment is similar. Can someone at Mayo Clinic make this happen?

Sorry to hear of your miseries associated with radio/chemo therapies. Both types of therapies cause the death of rapidly dividing cells including those in the oral mucosa which drives the formation of painful oral/esophageal mucosal ulcers. These treatments also suppress your immune system making you more susceptible to the development of fungal infections (oral Thrush) which are associated with the formation of the white placques you see in your mouth.
Your healthcare team may recommend antifungal medicines to treat these placques Thse medicines comes in several forms, including lozenges, tablets, or a liquid that you swish in your mouth and swallow

If these medicines don't work, medicine may be given that works throughout your body.
