Thank you so much. Your comments about the exercises for your hip, ankle & low back struck me bc I have problems there also. I was only given the heel slide, rising the leg for strengthening the thigh and a cafe stretch. Loved to know about the hip and ankle. Done you or did you have pain in your ankle Thigh, I have a strong throbbing pain from my thigh to my ankle. I’m glad to hear your doing well on your recovery, it is slow , I was worried when I read a few comments of having this for 3 years! This site is awesome it made me realize how important those exercises are. I’ll be glad to go on my walks again. How long did it take you to start walking & hiking? Well thank you for your encouragement.

Hey @cookiezz, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I have good news on my continuing journey. Things have improved quite a bit. My physical therapist gave me new exercises this week. I hadn't see her for a while. But this week's appointment uncovered a jam up in my lower back that she was able to release. I'm confident that things will contine improving - hopefully faster.

You said you were "only given..." The exercises you were given are likely to be different than the ones I am given. The PT will tailor your exercises to your needs, related to the injury and your physical abilities.

I am happy to report that walking is not a problem any longer. I'm still cautious about jogging or high impact. Hiking will be put to the test in a couple of weeks when I go on a hiking trip. I have tempered my expectations and planned hikes only every second day to allow for recovery in between. No 2 long hikes in a row.

How are you doing?
