I was just switched to Dulera which is amazing, but it made my voice scratchy. My doctor explained that the medicine sometime collect on the vocal chords causing the scratchiness. He has prescribed a Microchamber to be used with my inhaler. He believes that this will take care of the problem.

Symbicort made my voice more scratchy, and the aerochamber helped. I also had very good luck rinsing and gargling with plain water after using the inhaler. Now if my voice (always a little hoarse) gets worse, I swallow a teaspoon of local honey. Others here have talked about using Manuka honey, which also has antiseptic properties, but my friend keeps hives, so I use hers.
