What are your experiences with tramadol ?

I was taking 2 Tramadol and 2 Gabapentin four times a day before my spinal stenosis operation. I went through "hell" trying to get off of it. I've given up and I am taking the Tramadol combination. When it works, I have a problem remembering to take it. Then it takes some time to get back on track.

I was taking 100 mg of tramadol and pregabalin 2xday—stopped pregabalin. Now I just take tramadol 50 mg as needed. It was hard to drop off 300 mg/day!
