Have you tried wearing the compression stockings that cover the foot? Is the pain in the big toe muscular? I have pain in big toes that feels like it's being beat with a hammer, with extreme muscle cramp every so often. I use Hylands dissolving pills for muscle cramp for legs, Frankincense/Myrrh essential oil, and cannabis. Also, if it's muscular, try and walk it out or massage.
