This is my first time posting under this discussion, but I have been reading the posts daily. I now have to get serious about making a decision regarding Reclast. I am now going through all of this information collecting the pros and cons and then discussing my concerns with both the endocrinologist and my PCP who will be very forthcoming with me.

I read a few comments saying that “windyshores” is no longer
posting on this site. I have had AFIB since 2013. After a third ablation, I have been AFIB free for 2 1/2 years. Both of my doctors know that the fear on Reclast as it relates to AFIB is my top concern! But breaking a hip and becoming incapacitated is a major issue, too! Wow, risks versus benefits…….
Anyway, @timely, you posted that there is no longer a concern about Reclast and AFIB. I remember windyshores saying the original study discussing the interaction was debunked!! Does anyone know if she referenced that study and where I could find it? I have been looking.

Just a side thought, my husband has been on Reclast for years because of bone loss from a medication he is on. He had the pain and flu like symptoms after the first infusion, Thanks to this group, I got smart and asked that he had longer infusions. No side effects followed those. His last infusion was 20 minutes. He did not speak up and ask for a longer infusion. He had aches and pains for 5 days after that!! Lesson learned….
