Hello vjackiev19. It is easy to get discouraged with so much going on. And as patients, we do get tired....a new level of tired that we never experienced before. You are sharing your energy with him and doing the research for him, which is wonderful. I don't have any answers for you unfortunately, as my hubby has been dealing with an aggressive urothelial cell carcinoma for 5 years with multiple surgeries and complications. My best advice is to keep asking questions, including whether or not he is up to traveling for a second opinion or a treatment not offered locally.
I know how good it feels to have something to fight the cancer with between treatments. I highly recommend a book The Rebel's Apothecary by Jennifer Sansouci for an inspiring read about complementary treatments. Because of this book I have used medicinal mushrooms along with traditional treatments for my stage 4 head and neck cancer, diagnosed 13 years ago. Sometimes little things can help you feel better, and might even help in the cancer battle. Medicinal mushroom powder daily in my coffee is one of the things that I use now. It's easy to take daily, gives me energy, and likely improves my immune system's ability to fight cancer. My Mayo oncologist says my response to the last immunotherapy for metastases is a miracle. Miracles are nice when you are fighting cancer. Be strong and share that strength with your Dad.

@sepdvm I was just reading how you use Medicinal Mushroom Powder in your coffee. Could you tell me the brand and where I can purchase some? Also, is your coffee organic? I am definitely getting the book The Rebel's Apothecary by Jennifer Sansouci. My husband has stage 2 muscle invasive bladder cancer. He just finished Cisplatin/Gemcitabine 8 hookups with 2 weeks on and 1 week off. Now he goes for his Cat Scan with Contast on Friday. On May 29th he’ll get a Radical Cystectomy with prostate, bladder, lymph nodes and seminal vessels removed. He’ll have a stoma and pouch. The stoma nurse gave him Coloplast. I commend you on your fight against head and neck cancer….you seem to be one step ahead of it. So happy for your Miracle 🙏God bless, Rose
