Why don’t anxiety meds work for me?

I am very familiar with the tremors.

When this happens are you tempted to use a benzodiazepine or did you completely stop?

I am convinced that the tremors are a result of withdrawal from any of the drugs. The only guidance you get is to taper slower and move to a longer acting Benzo like Valium to do the taper.

It completely sucks and you feel trapped. The tremors improved for me by switching from Klonopin to Valium. But , when I stopped the Valium for three days, I started feeling overwhelmed with lack of focus and hearing every kind of noise no matter how far away. And , when you take it, the next day you feel more intense depression.

Now I am having gut issues where I do not feel I am processing food correctly and different bathroom cycle. Now, getting muscular pain . All these are symptoms of withdrawal or protracted withdrawal.

Are you able to sleep a bit at night?

I have not gone back on any benzos.I am feeling terrible. Every little noise sounds like it’s magnified by a hundred times. Valium does not work for me. My digestive system is in bad shape too. Thank you for all your information. Thank God for my husband. He has been and is wonderful through the hellish nightmare.
