Hello, @fdixon63. I'm so sorry to hear that you’ve been dealing with painful urination for such a long time. That kind of discomfort, especially when it goes on for months, can be incredibly draining.

According to Mayo Clinic, urethral stricture can cause pain when urinating as well as urinary tract infections.

Hi Kelly. I did go to the Mayo site about stricture. Thank you. I saw the vulva dermatologist and she said the surgeon cut away all the lichen planus so the pain is not caused by LP. She said I have stricture and referred me to a uro/gyno practice 90 miles away. She said I need urinary tract dilation periodically. Guess when they can see me--six months from now. I'm not sure what is my next move but waiting six months is not a good option. I've just about lost all confidence in our medical community.
