I have read several articles that repeat that type of antidepressant has been linked to bone loss and quite severely in some studies. Other antidepressants that aren’t SSRI do not have that effect. I won’t be surprised your Dr will know for mine didn’t and another frustrating medical lack of knowledge.
I mainly mentioned this to you for you had concerns why fractures after treatment. Read up on it and ask. My endocrinologist I saw yesterday was.not knowledgeable about titrating Tymlos but after speaking with her on what I had learned on this site, she was in total agreement.
We have to weigh our options as to what is best in the long run.

Hi
I have not been on zoloft long only 6 weeks and I am at the lowest dose. I don't believe that's why. I believe it's from the radiation treatment to my breast. I have friends who have been on anti depressants for years. They do not have osteoporosis.
They are on alot higher doses than myself. I have been asking my general practitioner for a back xray since last April. He kept saying no. Going forward I will be more assertive. I don't understand their logic.
