@stress101

I understand your frustration but the radiation for breast cancer was standard treatment to treat any possible cancer cells around your tumor. The last thing you want is it to come back. Cancer is sneaky so good oncologists are aggressive in treatment to save your life. I was told that Tymlos and Prolia were better option to rebuilding bone than bisphosphonates.
Another surprising thing I have learned is antidepressants that are SSRI’s such as Zoloft can definitely increase bone loss too. Don’t know if you’ve taken those or not but I have had several Drs suggest taking them and they have no knowledge of how it affects our bones.
I am sorry for your fractures but they will heal in time and hopefully you can find a different medicine that helps you.
I’m on that path as I write this and just know we survivors have different circumstances that I don’t think wete addressed for the long term of afterwards.
But let’s be thankful there are meds out there to help and the people on this dire are amazing for support when you want or need it.

Hi
Since not being able to take hrt because of my cancer I was having horrible depression and panic attacks.So I now am on zoloft and it's helping immensely. I will have to bring that up to my endocrinologist friday. It took me 4 different medications to get this one.And it works well without side effects.So I am not going off it. As original plan was to keep me on the bis phosphinate for 5 years. So I will find out friday if things are changing. Good luck to you also
