I wasn't planning to part with my other adrenal gland, but there is such a thing as a partial adrenalectomy. When first discussed in 2021 the plan was to remove the right side adrenal gland. When I needed work on a major kidney growth it was the left kidney so the surgeon took the left adrenal gland probably out of convenience.
