Yes. 5 yrs maybe from a spondylosis I was hit on my back years ago but never knew I had spondy till a few years later. I go to Sanexas now vitamin shots in my calf's and electric stim they do. Hope it helps. I wear barefoot shoes most of the time. At night worse, sometimes a light compression knee sock. Magnesium on legs and feet. Try low carb but sometimes cheat. I deal with it, try to keep a good outlook every day. I pray a lot. I had a great lower back till a man hurt me 4o yrs ago. Thankful only started neuropathy 5 yrs ago and not 40.

Everyone is different. My condition came from a cholesterol drug many years ago and that caused Type 2 diabetes. The diabetes was the cause of nerve damage and then came the neuropathy. I have zero pain, just numbness and weakness in my legs. I do 60lb leg presses at the gym to keep the blood flowing and strength in my calf’s and quads. I walk like I’ve been drinking scotch all day, and I’ve had a few falls too. Neuropathy is here to stay and all this online cures is a bunch of crap. I still do what I want and I learned to live with it. Take a deep breath and learn how to deal with it.

Do you mind if I ask what cholesterol medicine you were taking?

I have post herpetic neuralgia. I have been in chronic since September 2017. I have tried everything I can and more than I can afford. Too shorten the list diet, vitamins cream, oils, cbd, treatments including surgery. Next month I am going to visit surgeon for another consultation for a neurectomy (many nerves damaged). It's a life changer. From the shingles and it's miserable pain. I'm still trying.

Please excuse errors. I'm up way too early. At times, pain wakes you up.

Welcome @chemist1, What symptoms do you have with your neuropathy? Have you found any treatment that helps with the symptoms?

My worst symptom is overwhelming leg fatigue. I try to walk (my dog) 90 minutes a day, but it can be painful. No, I am trying to find out now what I can do, since this has worsened over the last couple of years. What is your worst symptom? And does anything help?

I don't have any pain with my neuropathy, just some numbness and tingling. Keeping my legs and feet hydrated with lotion helps some along with some daily exercise. I can't walk any distance due to back issues so get most of my daily steps using a recumbent exercise bike. If you haven't already seen the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy site, it has some really helpful information - https://www.foundationforpn.org/living-well/.
