I had a reverse replacement in July 2024. I had been in severe chronic pain for five years. Best decision ever. I am almost pain free, but not totally. I do not have full range of motion but it is significantly better. So I can't say it was 100% a success, but in my opinion was definitely worth it. Had it done at Mayo Rochester.

I had a reverse shoulder replacement at Mayo Rochester in July 2023 by Dr Sotelo-Sanchez. Before surgery, my shoulder was a mess. I had almost no function and lots of discomfort/pain for about 10 years plus. I had no pain with the surgery or after the surgery - this was very surprising because my pcp said everyone has terrible pain after surgery. I have no pain at all now and have full function. I do not “push it” - do not carry heavy objects, do pushups, etc., but I don’t do that with my native right arm either.
