ARX517 trial

Posted by pjsatz @pjsatz, 2 days ago

There is a PSMA targeted medicine in phase 1 trials called ARX517 from Ambrx Pharmaceuticals that sounds promising. Ambrx is now owned by Johnson and Johnson.

I think the Phase 1 trial is potentially open to both Hormone Resistant and Hormone Sensitive patients, there is list of requirements.

The discussion here would not let me post direct links but search for ARX517 UCSF trial. There are also articles about a phase 1/2 trial that was completed around the end of 2023.

And there is a very detailed article about it titled:

Preclinical Characterization of ARX517 a Site-Specific Stable PSMA-Targeted Antibody-Drug Conjugate for the Treatment of Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Thanks

Thank you, Colleen. That paper offers much hope to those who become castrate resistant. And it delivers its payload without radiation, like Pluvicto.
Not sure if it would be used in all cases or just soft tissue but it is a big leap forward in targeting the actual cancer and not healthy cells at the same time. Many thanks!
Phil
