@maize have you ever taken the biotin supplement? I do think it helps with my hair loss. At least some.

Yes, it has helped me a lot. I won't claim I'm back to my original thick hair, but I'm glad for all the hair that has come back AND that the hairs that fall out have lessened a good deal. I've been on the maximum dose for about 2 years.

read about biotin. using biotin shampoo without much result. have appt w/dermatologist next week. My problem having hepatitis there's not many medications or even supplements that I can take, but will definitely ask. thank you.

I take nutrafol everyday for months. My hair grows faster but very expensive. It takes about six months before my hair thickened up but grew faster right away.

I take Spring Valley Extra Strength Hair, Skin & Nails 5,000 mcg Biotin Supplement. I stop taking it 5 days prior to thyroid blood lab work as it impacts TSH.... It helps me loose less hair, and can take several weeks to work.

My hair started thinning and I was left with dime and quarter size patches. I started taking a multivitamin and Olly hair gummies after the advice of my dermatologist, who told me to take Nutrafol supplements which I couldn’t afford. My hair started growing after about 3 months. Then I added a collagen powder and also a 5 protein powder to 2 oz almond milk 3x a day and my nails and skin are better. I’m getting 1200 mg of calcium with adding a Viactive chew, and the protein and collagen and hair supplements from all these have really helped. I have tried biotin and other stuff by themselves and it never helped. This is the only time in my life that using stuff as I described has worked for me
