new doctors and social groups wont accept me
Since covid I can't find people or groups who will allow me to go there. This includes doctor's offices, self-help groups, pharmacies, Etc.
Although I am on a waiver, the people that are hired to work with me are offended by my uncommon speech patterns and possibly facial expressions. I am constantly told that I'm disrespectful and it will not be tolerated. A new doctor has diagnosed me with pseudobulbar effect. Most medications make me horribly sick so I hesitate to go on anything other than some herbal things. My lack of acceptance and problems with agencies Etc is causing me to become so depressed I don't even want to try anymore. I have a good grasp of when I'm being overstimulated and attempting to leave, but my boundaries are frequently overstepped and I get very little support. Everyone who is required to work with me spends as little time as possible and just tries to get their paper signed so they can get their payment and then leave me alone. I don't know if being in this group can help me in any way but I am very troubled. I recently fell and hit my head and now have a black eye and a lot of bruises but even when I was at the doctor's office yesterday no one even examined me. They just read the results of my blood test and sent me away. I wish there was somewhere to get support.

Hi Musicfox,
I'm so sorry that people, especially professional people who should know better, are being so unkind and impolite to you! That's terrible! Your problem with medications is very common. There are several medications that I can't take either. You are smart to use herbal options instead. I'm sorry you fell and hit your head. That's very odd that they didn't examine you when they could see that you had been injured. If it starts to hurt go see your doctor or go to the emergency room.
You seem to have a good understanding of your situation and when it's getting a little out of control. That's to be admired. Many people with no problems at all, don't seem to realize that. Also you write very well and interesting. Perhaps you should write a book about all you've been going through.
There is one place that you might look to for help and that is God. Say a prayer and ask for his help. Just talk to him like he's your best friend and he is! He will answer your prayers. You don't have to go to church to find God. Although that's very nice to do. I'm 79 and have been asking God for help all those years and I have gotten answers! So, it works!
If you need someone to communicate with, I'm here. My husband died in July, 2024 and it gets rather lonely at times. I would be interested in how things are going for you.
I'll say a prayer for you also.
