Possible 2 different cancers in lungs?

I had a nodule that was deemed suspicious and three years later it was cancer, I also had a new nodule right beside the malignant one and it was also cancer but not the same as the other one. This was dealt with by performing a lobectomy removing both, I didn’t know this until after the surgery, I never heard anything else about having two different cancers but it sure made me feel uncomfortable, I would think that if this was more serious, they would have told me.

I would like to add, I’m sorry for your problems and that you have a lot to deal with. I’m not sure why the doctor is making more out of this, my research is brief but it seems that this situation is better than one cancer spreading and also, having two cancers it’s easier to treat. Of course there’s a lot more info out there so just ask, good wishes.
