Share your test results (if you'd like)
I thought it might be helpful to have a thread dedicated to sharing routine test results, good or not-so-good. My intention is just to provide a place for sharing, support, and encouragement, not for debating tests and treatments
I'll start. I've been at stage 4b oligometastatic for over 2½ years, and last Friday I did my routine 12-week bloodwork. My PSA remains below 0.01 (undetectable), Orgovyx and Erleada are holding my testosterone at 0.2, and the other tests are in normal ranges, except for those related to iron, which are slightly low.
Overall, it was a banner day! 🎊 I always treat myself to a masala chai at the little Indian café across the street while I'm waiting for my results to pop.
Do you have any recent test results you'd like to share?

Me - not so fortunate after RARP on 1/8/25 - Gleason 9....PSA 1.03 on 4/2/25, follow-up PET scan this past Tues 4/29. Rocky post-surgery recovery with 1 in a million 1 liter lymphatic pocket that had to be drained, so am hoping higher than zero PSA is due to inflammation not more C......
Wpwhisnant -- Ugh; sorry to hear that. Let us know what your PET scan and next PSA test shows. Best wishes.

You stated you have 10 weeks left on ADT with Orgovyx. How long did your doctor tell you yo take it? Just wondering why my doctor (Hematologist/Oncologist) told me to take indefinitely. Because I want to have hormone holiday too. (Just for sharing, I started taking Fosamax just 2 weeks ago as prescribed by my primary medical provider due to BMD decreasing. She prescribed me this medicine for a year a half to take. One tablet a week.)
We probably have different levels/stage of disease. I am on it for a total of 6 months. I had a Biochemical reoccurrence 2 years after RP. Bad surgical margin. I am not a professional and only have my journey to share. Best wishes on your journey.

I took a different path after surgery and have monitored my PSA frequently for the past three years. My last PSA was 0.13. I’ve been on a Mediterranean Diet and avoided ADT shots and radiation.
North - This is a great idea . Thanks for putting this out . Great numbers you have ! Your on two ADT drugs ? . I had a prostatectomy 4 years ago ( 3+4) and PSA didn't quite go to zero and started to hover in the 0.14 region . So I got Salvage radiation 2 years ago ( 22 sessions and no ADT at all - Drs didnt want me to take it as they said in my case not useful at this point ) . That radiation helped . Now it hover from 0.14 to now 0.045 - 0.030 . Amazing radiation does this . I have zero side effects and hike with dogs and wife ( not in that order - HA!!) every day he on Vancouver Island ! We have the worlds best trails to hike I think . I always take my folding fishing rod . I am concerned about my PSA thought . My dad and grandfather passed away with PC . Dad went at 67 . He was diagnosed at 60 ( he was a Chemical engineer and hated Dr's BUT had to get physical at 60 for the last contract overseas). He was snagged with 25+ PSA , no symptoms though . I looked after dad in his last year of life - the last year ( 25 years ago now ) was tough on me . I was his caregiver . Dr says he would ask for me often if I left his bedside . It have me terrible anxiety . As a commercial pilot this was not a good thing ! I can control it while flying...But at home I have to keep busy or I have that PSTD back . I am haunted by what I saw ! Sorry my story is not good Sir . James on Vancouver Island .
Chippy , what was your margins like ? How is ADT for you ...never been on it .
I have one bad margin and don't know the details other than more than likely the cause of my PSA rising. My surgeon denies it but two other doctors pointed to it. I started with Lupron for 3 months and it isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. One low grade hot flash and a couple of times feeling prickly. Perhaps due to having low T going into this. I don't really know but grateful. I feel knocked down with low desire to do anything but force myself up to work around the house and go for 8-13 mile mountain bike rides in our local state forest. I always feel better once I get into the ride and the feeling lasts a few hours. All info points to getting exercise while on ADT and I must agree. I've put on 7 pounds around the gut which is kind of normal. Switched to Orgovyx after 3 months and the first 10 days were tough as I had both Lupron and Orgovxy in my system but leveling out now. My T is 2 and PSA is undetectable so it is doing its thing. Radiation was much worse from my experience. The side effects are the gift that keeps on giving 2 months afterwards.
Best wishes on your journey.
