@belgagrande

I am 72 years old and had reverse shoulder replacement done back in 2021. I have severe degenerative disc disease and have over 20 surgeries on my spine from my cervical to my lumbar spines. I have to say that out of all of my surgeries, my reverse shoulder replacement was the easiest surgery that I have experienced. When I woke up in the recovery room, I experienced almost no pain because my surgeon had placed a pain pump that slowly released lidocaine into the shoulder. I carried the pump in a sling for the next week and when it was removed I was pain free. After this was removed I started physical therapy and did my exercises religiously for the next 6 .weeks until all movement was restored.
This surgery was by far the easiest I have ever experienced.

@belgagrande, I’m encouraged to see this about your surgery. I’m having reverse shoulder surgery on May 30th.
I’ve had both knees replaced and my left hip and have been told that the shoulder surgery was by far the easiest in terms of pain and recovery,They said the worst thing was having to wer the sling!
