@nana1606 I'm glad your surgery was a great success. I agree that it is better to address a problem early rather than wait for permanent damage to occur. Dr. Bydon is a good surgeon. He was one I thought about when I came to Mayo. I chose a different surgeon because of medical literature that he co-authored. I have read about Dr. Bydon's work with regenerative research for spinal cord trauma. Thirty years is a long time to live with spine issues. My spine surgery was a cervical fusion. If you don't mind my curiosity, did you have an instrumented multi-level fusion?

Yes, I had L4-S1 alif and plif. I followed all post op recommendations, do my physical therapy exercises and walk everyday
