Constant Tinnitus
Has anyone had high pitch constant tinnitus after a car accident where the side airbags deployed? It sounds like millions of crickets in my head and is driving me insane. Anything that has helped you with this. My car accident was in the beginning of February this year. Thanks in advance for any of your suggestions or advice.

@mwendt54 I'm sorry to hear you have been through this trauma and it's brought on tinnitus. I lost my hearing on the right side because of surgery and radiation for a head and neck cancer. At that time I saw an audiologist. I have to tell you that it was difficult for me at first because doctors would just tell me, they don't know what causes it and they don't have anything to help you. That is not helpful!! I learned on youtube that audiologists are studying tinnitus; there are ways we can learn to cope. Here are the two that helped me most. Dale Snale works with sound and how to find what you can listen to that will not only help you relax, it helps me get relief from those crickets. Treble Health works with sound and the brain; how we can learn to change our brain, because tinnitus is not in our ears, it's in the brain.
Thinking of you! I hope you find information that is most helpful to you,

@jw9 Thank you for the information. I do actually have an appointment with an audiologist for next week. I’m sorry you’re going through the same thing, it’s really annoying. Have you seen an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat specialist) for testing of your hearing? You may also want to see a neurologist for a brain MRI to see if you were affected by the airbag impact. I wonder if you had a concussion.
@dlydailyhope I had a CT of my head which was negative. I will be seeing an audiologist next week. I do have a referral to an ENT from my primary doctor. I thought I’d start with the audiologist. No concussion since I was t-boned and not hit straight on in the front of my car. Appreciate your comments. Thank you 😊.
