Hi, I had a similar protocol three times a day with an exacerbation.
I went back to my doctor at at NJH and was told to use an aerobika with the ombra xl nebulizer system 2 x a day with only saline. 7%
So this accomplishes airway clearance and producing mucus in one step. The recommended going about 10-12 breaths through the aerobika system and then huff cough
This works really well and cuts down the time amazingly.
I included the picture. It also has the Mano ester so you can make sure you are not blowing too forcefully.
I also like it because it nebulizes on demand. The saline will only be activated when you are blowing in has a little button on top that shows you as well.

Hello, I don't know if this will help you, but I used to have sore throat and neck pain when using the Aerobika, until I changed the setting from 3 to 2. Now I have no problem using the Aerobika for airway clearance (I always use 7% saline).
You are younger than me, so don't be discouraged to do your airway clearance to keep down infections. It is the gold standard for BE patients.
Twice daily works for me.

My pulmonologist said to set an amount of time, no more than 45 minutes for each session. I used to use AD app but gave up on that and switched to my own AD, which is 4 breath holds instead of 10. A time savings. With AD I use 4 postures, upright, laying flat, and on each side. The morning is the most time consuming. Once I started to focus on where the secretions were in my lungs it became less exhausting. In addition, I use 2 vials of 7% saline and sip hot water or tea with honey throughout as the saline can be irritating. I also pre-treat with albuterol to help make the saline more tolerable as well.
