Vagus nerve disruption
Yesterday morning I awoke to extreme dizziness like I have never experienced. I thought perhaps my blood sugar was low, so I made liquid white eggs. Not feeling any better (as my dog waits to go out), I sat down in my recliner. All of a sudden I vomited up all that I ate/drank and felt even worse. Then I developed pain in my left butt and leg, severely limiting my ability to walk without pain. My friend thought it was a vagus nerve disruption.
I googled same and it sure seems like it was. I am writing this the following morning, and I still have the butt/leg pain. It was painful turning over in bed.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Can anyone lend some helpful advice? Yikes!!!!

It sounds like you need to see a neurologist for testing. You could have a pinched nerve/nerve root or something affecting your central nervous system/peripheral nervous system.
I have bilateral gluteal tendinopathy and hamstring high grade partial tears that were found on hip/pelvis MRIs. This is painful when standing up from seated position, going up stairs and rolling over in bed/moving hips/legs.

Do you workout? Did you have an injury during a challenging workout? You may have a torn tendon in gluteal muscle/hamstring muscle causing leg/butt pain.
My working out has taken a new meaning. However, yes, given what I now do, that is a distinct possibility. Thank you
Oh my gosh. It sounds so similar to what I have. Thank you for suggestions!!
I have had a very similar issue some time ago while planting shrubs outside in hot/humid climate. I was told by Cardiologist after getting Echocardiogram what it actually was. It was the 2nd time it occurred in about 7 yrs. Seems to occur when bending over using exertion in hot weather where dehydration may be a factor.

You may also want to see an orthopedic hip specialist who can do X-ray/MRI of soft tissues in pelvis/hips/hamstring connections. Depending on what they find, they can do physical therapy, cortisone injections, and surgery if needed. I may need my right hamstring tear surgically debriefed and reattached because it has t healed in over a year after rest/therapy.

*Correction: debrided is the term for reattaching hamstring tendon (not debriefed…just love autocorrect!)
Yes. Appt scheduled luckily for Monday and Xrays ordered. My mother-in-law was so right: she said, don't get old...it sucks!!!

I just saw my dermatologist yesterday and we were talking about perimenopause and menopause causing musculoskeletal issues. Bingo for me!
