Lots of common drug names are very appropriate. The drug companies do a good job in naming.
Ambien -- Ambient, plus AM Bien which kind of means "good morning" in Spanglish
Lunesta -- Moon plus siesta
Flomax -- pretty obvious
Nitrostat -- nitroglycerin with "stat" meaning "ASAP"
Celebrex -- Celebrating the lack of pain
Abilify -- Making you able to do things
Vomisin -- (anti-nausea drug) wordplay on "vomit"
etc.
Yes, whoever came up with that name had a fiendish sense of humor…
I realized that as well. Someone in the naming department has a wicked sense of humor. And a lot of “I warned you so’s”. It’s not as if it isn’t in the brand name.
