I have never heard of this, and intrigued. Are you doing this because of osteoarthritis or another reason? What type of professional do you go to? Hoping it all goes well for you.

osteoarthritis, correct.

Hi - I had a PRP in my degenerating jaw about 3 years ago caused by TMJ. I’ve been wearing a mouth guard for about 20 years. The PRP showed regrowth & regeneration for a while, however in this last year it returned in a negative direction. So 2 days ago I had another PRP. However, I moved to different state where it is difficult to find doctors/dentists with knowledge of this procedure (in the jaw). He’s a dentist but I may have been his first clinic for this procedure. In the past I’ve had several prp’s in my elbow & the protocol has always been NO FISH OIL, TURMERIC or NSAIDS. He never told me not to take any of these. Infact he told me I should take ibuprofen. I can’t really remember the exact protocol when I had my first jaw PRP. I’m wondering if this dentist is just not educated enough about a PRP in the jaw. I decided not to take the ibuprofen. Does anyone have knowledge of a PRP in the jaw & its protocol?
