@vjackiev19, what did the PET scan reveal. Will your father continue with immunotherapy? How is he doing?

Hi thanks for checking, the scan was just this morning. No results yet. Immunotherapy- he has not done it yet. The treatment was radiation and chemotherapy so far. There was the option to remove the bladder but he is 81 with a heart defibrillator implanted and the concern is he may not have even survived the surgery never mind the recovery and adapting to having no bladder. So this was the course we took and it was unsuccessful. Cancer metastasized to bone and lung and now checking for more. The doctor said we can do a short course of radiation to other areas and possibly immunotherapy to stop more spread. At this point he’s frail. Thin and tired all the time. It’s not good. Hanging in there. Again thanks for checking. That post was from a few years ago from that lady, but I wanted to know what the outcome was as I got the impression he was a much younger man than my dad at the time. Also notable that my dad has a very rare bladder cancer. Adenocarcinoma of the bladder- happens rarely. Also notable he was exposed on 9-11 and months following. Otherwise, no idea why this is happening. It’s terrible. Thanks again
