Muscle spasm in calf that left foot pain
As I was standing up from a chair 3 days ago, I had a horrible muscle spasm in the calf of my leg that immediately seemed to move down to my foot and left a pain at the inner ankle bone that is now 3 days old. Can anyone tell me if it is possible for a spasm to move and settle elsewhere as this one seemed to do?

They can hurt, can’t they? Maybe these will help you:

Has this ever happened before? Were you sitting a while? How active are you? Just thinking… Maybe do some troubleshooting listed to rule things out. Hydrate, regularly stretch, etc. I can tell you I have muscle pain that has literally taken years to get better. But, if it is hindering you from daily activity or doesn’t go away with your troubleshooting a call to your doctor wouldn’t be a bad idea.

You may have sprained your ankle when standing up and planting your foot at the same time your calf muscle was in a spasm. It would be good to see a podiatrist if it does t get better with rest, ice, NSAIDs.
