Digestive issues and can't get pancreatic cancer out of my mind

Posted by diamondback2k9 @diamondback2k9, Apr 4 10:00am

I have been dealing with Chronic diherra.
I had my appendix removed and got put on Creon which had cleared up by diaherra issues. All of blood work has been normal expected my Total Protein which is slightly elevated at 8.3. Reviewing my past test its always been higher. My bilirubin levels are normal but I have noticed they are slowly increasing every time besides one. I have at CT scan and everything was normal. I can't get panarctic cancer out of mind even though my Dr. said I am okay. I typically do not drink at all but two days before my test I did have quite a bit on a night out. Im wondering if this could have elevated my Protein and Billirbrin test? I have been feeling great since every starting Creon and getting back to my normal weight. Not sure if I should worried or not? I generally feel well

Just want to give a quick update here. I was given an acid blocker to take in the morning and most if not all of my stomach pain is gone and I'm having no back issues either after that. My Dr does want to do an endoscopy so will complete that test and see how things are going. Bowel movements are seeming getting better slowly as well.

Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) inhibits exocrine pancreatic secretion - its the first line of treatment during mild acute pancreatitis in some countries given by IV sometimes.
+ Creon/Pertzye of course to give pancreas a rest

I have just got my endosopy results back. The found moderate irration in my stomach but nothing abnormal. I have been doing great since going on the acid reflux medicine and the itching has resolved since I stopped taking my anti-anxity meds. I have a clear mind and pretty good energy levels now. I get to follow a GERD diet and I have follow up in year.

I have completed an upper endoscopy with and they did find my stomach was irritated but nothing abnormal. I was then prescribed PPI. Pain in stomach gone. I recently had a swallon lymph node in my neck which I checked out and it's a waiting game for that but the Dr didn't thing anything sinister was happening. She did put me on lexapro but and I have been on it for 3 days. Stomach pain has returned and so has the diaherra and low engery levels. . It's just getting to me. She is out of the office but wondering if this could be a side effect?

Well had another trip the to ER. I wasn't eating much and was feeling completely weak. I have been extremely tired. I got a second CT scan which came back clear. Dr thinks this just gastritis. The meds seem to helping some but not a ton. I have a follow up with my GI dr but man this is taxing on me emotionally as well as my family.

I had the same issues on Creon. No one really knows what's wrong. low energy levels at times. Cancer is always in the back of my mind, as is diabetes.

Intermittent constipation, then out of the blue, I may have diarrhea issues to the point that it impacted my self-esteem, mental health.

Crewon and the Low FODMap diet helped. Tested positive for SIBO, did the treatment, and for about a month of normalcy, which was amazing. Then it all started to creep back.

Seeing a dietitian in 2 weeks, fingers crossed.

Really sorry to hear that you had to go back to the ER and were not feeling well, @diamondback2k9. It does indeed sound taxing, so hoping you all have gotten a bit of time to kick back and relax.

How are you feeling today, diamondback2k9?

Feeeling much better. Have gained the missing weight back. Blood work is mostly normal but certainly nothing alarming. My stomach shows inflammation so currently being treated for gastritis.

I'm still here. My liver levels have been decreasing to normal. And the Creon has been helping. My bowel movement have been solid and about 1/2 float. My engery levels still come and go but seem to better as the day goes on? Maybe i just work too early. My mental state has been alot better until a day or two ago. Hoping I'm on the mend.

I am still so scared I have PC. I have had two CT scans with contrast. The second one was normal but showed a little bit of a fatty liver? Can that be related to PC? I have a great GI d who address all my worries but I can never see to get my anxiety about it under control. My stools have been normal color but not solid. I haven't been eating great foods lately however. What are the odds that a two CT scan with contrast could miss something with my pancreas? Pancreas shows as normal on both as well as the ducts. No real other symptoms other than chronic loose stools and feel tired.
