Did you spend time in the gym shortly (month or so) after you had the surgery? Just wondering if you exercised too much and that’s what caused the incision to open up. I’ve never heard of that happening before. Sorry to hear about the incision “pings”, I wonder if it’s because they reused the spot. You should at least ask the doctor if he’s heard of it.

In my robotic surgery, they only had four small incisions that they worked everything in and out of. There wasn’t really much, maybe two stitches each, is that what opened up, or did they need a larger incision?

Good to hear you’re so positive about doing it now. Pressure off.

That incision was interesting. It opened on a fairly easy walk around the neighborhood, and my doctor told me they had a hell of a time getting it to close in the first place because there's a vein there that kept bleeding like a stuck pig. I think it's a combo of that plus walking. You've never really gotten intimate with an incision until you have to pack about 12" of gauze strips in there to keep it from closing so it can heal from the bottom up!
