We allwant positivity in our lives.Yes,we constantly read negative posts but the way I see it is maybe that can help me in future medication choices.I take it with a grain of salt and try to learn from what has caused these meds to cause such neg outcomes and unless you hear it from what has happened to others we wouldn’t know the negativity of these drugs.Sure we can read inserts regarding meds but hearing a person’s experience is real.I want to be aware of how something suggested to me as a medication has affected someone. Then we can take the negative with the hood and try to find a good balance.Just food for thought.

Positivity so important...this site has helped me become educated about the different methods of treatment and has educated me on questions to ask. Doctors are busy people with a lot of patients; they prescribe what they feel is best for you, but they do not educate you on osteoporosis, what the Dexa scores mean, what is considered a good increase (just that you are "doing better"). Once I leave the doc's office and start researching on the internet is when I start understanding that there are questions that should be asked; different meds, weight training, PT, different tests, studies out there, etc. Never got any of this type if information from the doc as I didn't even know what to ask! I don't blame the medical profession; I am not their only patient. I have a Q&A appointment with my current endo today; I may get another opinion because the treatments for osteoporosis are very powerful drugs and very long term.
