jc76, Presently I am on a Nebulizer using Albuterol primarily. The Airsupra is more of a
maintenance rescue inhaler with albuterol and budesonide, a steroid, and is used for quick
relief. So far so good. It opens up my lungs quickly. Advair gave me bad headaches. Advair has Flovent, a steroid with salmeterol and is used as a maintenance inhaler to control asthma and prevent asthma attacks. The downside of steroid inhalers is it can give you thrush (candida yeast) in your mouth, so you have to watch out for that when you use them. Make
sure you rinse your mouth out very well after each use or you can easily get thrush.
The doctor told me that we would not get relief until May from the pollen. This has been the worst spring for tree pollens. Right now it is the oak pollen that is high.
I sleep on 2 pillows at night as well to keep my head elevated.
Pneumonia made me feel like I was breathing through a straw and I could
not take deep breaths without chest pain. It is so tiring and takes a long time to get over.
Praying for you & yours. Blessings to you & your family.
