I would very highly recommend Dr Mohammed Bydon and his surgical team. On 11/1/2024 I had an alif and on 11/5/2024 I had a robotic plif. I realize this is not considered a long term success. However, after 30+ years of living with a multitude of spinal issues, which included severe spinal stenosis, and a great deal of pain, I literally am pain free now. I was very apprehensive about having 2 spinal surgeries. Dr Bydon is a highly skilled neurosurgeon. Yet, he is very personable and assured me that he did these surgeries all the time. He did explain to me, in detail, that if I put off having these surgeries, my outcome would not be as good. There would also be a possibility of being in a wheelchair later in life if I chose to not have surgery at all. I am extremely happy with Dr Bydon. He has given me a life of pain free living.

Where is he ?

Thank you!

@nana1606 I'm glad your surgery was a great success. I agree that it is better to address a problem early rather than wait for permanent damage to occur. Dr. Bydon is a good surgeon. He was one I thought about when I came to Mayo. I chose a different surgeon because of medical literature that he co-authored. I have read about Dr. Bydon's work with regenerative research for spinal cord trauma. Thirty years is a long time to live with spine issues. My spine surgery was a cervical fusion. If you don't mind my curiosity, did you have an instrumented multi-level fusion?
