Neuropathy Relief Centers: Is the price worth it?

Posted by gm123 @gm123, May 31, 2023

I've been suffering from peripheral neuropathy for the past 5 years. Started in the toes of my right foot and has been steadily rising up to my thigh. The numbness, tingling and burning sensations have been driving me crazy. And now my balance is getting so bad I'm careful not to fall over. Even driving is becoming difficult as I can barely feel the foot pedals. All doctors have told me that there is no cure and that it will just get worse with age. They prescribed Gabapentin and my neurologist suggested spinal injections which I do not wish to pursue. 1'll soon be 75.
Now I've recently come across a Neuropathy and Chronic Pain Center in Connecticut which claims an 80% success rate with their patients. They use SANEXAS and other electrical stimulation devices. However they do not accept insurance and patients have to pay in advance out of pocket. The price tag is hefty: over $6,000 for 16 sessions. Does this sound outrageous or reasonable? Any opinions would be welcomed!

Go to scrambler Calmare in Conn. It takes ins. and has quite a interesting story.

Judee you said the key word California everything is expensive there Lol 😆. Im in the Bluegrass State I believe now it’s expensive everywhere barley holding on paying bills where I’m disabled we never think that one morning you wake up to go and you hit the floor because your legs don’t work it scared me to death …
all the emotions, terror, everything…2-weeks later Covid the world shut down it’s been Hell And still is with all the political stuff going on I don’t even watch the news people just say what’s going on can’t believe the way we have to live now and being disabled on top of everything it’s a fight to just live with shape I’m in let alone all the other trying to keep up with house payment, food is outrageous….. truck payment, electric, Columbia Gas , Water bills . The end of the month I can’t afford my phone anymore I’ll have to turn it off along with TV, so I can have a little extra money to eat
i pray 🙏🏻 things change but for now it’s day to day I give it to the man upstairs Jesus Christ my savior

I finished 12 sessions of electro and red light therapy for $2,400. The jury is still out whether it helps. I bought my own small tens unit from Oxiline for $130 and use it everyday. It does the same thing as the $2,400 treatment machine in my opinion.
I take a lot of supplements to help alleviate the symptoms. That stuff helps some. Gabapentin and ibuprofen help a lot. Getting blood sugar down is a big help.
It took years for neuropathy to develop and it will take years to heal it, but I don’t have a lot of years left.
Keep searching. My best…
