I have had Neuropathy of the motor and sensory nerves for Over 25 years, it has been slow progression but the burning pain in my legs and feet have got so bad over the last 3years it is impacting my life were now I have no energy and feel unwell 24/7,I lost my balance about 12 years ago so I have to use a wheelchair but I don’t feel like leaving the house anymore my doctor prescribed BuTec patches and they don’t really help,I have been referred to pain clinic but that was nearly a year ago and I’m still waiting.
I feel if I could numb my legs at night I might get some sleep, so I was wondering if any one has found something that has helped them.

Welcome @gerriw76, I wish there were some easy answers to help you get some relief for your neuropathy pain. I know it has to be difficult suffering so long with not much relief. You are not alone and there are many members here on Connect that have shared what has given them some form of relief. Here's a list of discussions and comments on Connect from members who have shared what helps them - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=neuropathy+what+helps.

The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy also has a list of complementary and alternative therapies if you haven't already seen them - https://www.foundationforpn.org/therapies/

Are you able to talk to your doctor and ask for an update on your referral to a pain clinic?
