@janeted

I have one Evenity shot left at the end of May and then a dexa scan is ordered. Dr has said she wants reclast next and not Prolia. Does anyone know why? I’m thinking she has Prolia planned down the road after the reclast limit…..what are the time limits for these meds? I was told only 5 years for Prolia but I have friends that have been on it for years!! Any info appreciated…

janeted, I'm hoping that your doctor doesn't use Prolia.
Studies have shown that
if you don't strike the Prolia hazards osteonecrosis, of the bone or atypical femur fractures, and if you don't need dental surgery during Prolia treatment, and don't have devastating side effect,
Prolia is safe and effective for 8 to 10 years.
The time of safety keeps expanding because the study has only been active for 10 years.
