Hi, my name is Debs. For the last 6 months I’ve had foot pain that wakes me at night and painful when walking. Came out of nowhere. It’s been diagnosed as inflamed tendons and tendon sheaths. I do daily physio exercises that have been prescribed but they’re not working. What’s the pepper cure thing I’ve read about for a parasite that’s attacking the tendons. Sounds like it could be a bit bogus. Any help appreciated

Hi Debs @debsv, Welcome to Connect. Another member @amywood20 mentioned similar symptoms of tenosynovitis in another discussion that you might find helpful here:

@jenniferhunter may also have some experience to share with foot and ankle pain.

Here's some information I found on the condition that might also be helpful:

@debsv I've been through a bad ankle fracture and had some angry tendons for quite a while. What I learned was that I needed to work on all the muscles of the lower leg to release all the tightness. When I equalized the tension on all sides of my ankle, it relieved the pain because then it wasn't exerting extra force on an injured tendon. What helped was myofascial release. Typically strengthening exercises would make it worse, so rehab was a balance of both of these.

Have you heard of myofascial release before?
