I was recommended for a endoscopy of my esophagus a few years back. I'm in stage 3 of COPD/emphysema. I've been on oxygen, 2 litres, since 2018. When I spoke with my pulmonologist about the scope, he recommended I don't have that done, as it is sometimes difficult for a pulmonary patient to come out of the anesthesia. The best thing is to talk with your lung doctor.

I have had endoscopy of my esophagus several times and had not problems whatsoever. I'm about to have another procedure done so they can check to see where my hiatal is at. It feels like it is bulging more so they need to take a look . I'm tired of feeling bloated all the time.
