Guaifenesin is not a prescription. Mucinex is the brand name which is rather expensive. Just buy guaifenesin by equate, guardian( Amazon) or other makers to pay less.
. You do not need mucinex D. Just mucinex to loosen secretions. There should be no difference in loosening mucus. Drink lots of water with it.

Yes, I am , as I said , getting my hands on some guaifenesin . My doctor wrote me a prescription for guaifenesin . It was to thwart the cost of Musinex. My insurance won’t cover it, not prescription or OTC. I have already tried one brand. It had side effects . Now I am using an herbal one , it is working well but is not time released . I take it every 4 hours. I have another brand of guaifenesin arriving today . Blessed Be, Crystalina
