5 months still early on ….. I know probably sick of hearing because you are living it but takes time…..stairs are the hardest to conquer, so I am not surprised they are difficult…I gather your flexion numbers are low ….towel slides will help , hangin knee off edge of bed. just keep up with your therapy it does get better ….they are right won’t show anything , even after a year dr are reluctant to do mri or scan , I had tkr manipulation, year later new dr revision … three years later right back where I started pain stiffiness … I am one of those people that develops to much scar tissue… so there is nothing Dr can do for me .., best thing he could have told me was no surgery or procedure that will make this better … now I focus on pain management with laser and PEMF mat …. Good luck in your journey but right now just do the foot work and have faith it will get better
I bought a raised toilet seat with arms from Amazon and it helped a lot with sitting on the toilet and getting up. I assume you are going up stairs one foot at a time which helped me. This is a hard recovery. Keep doing all you can. I don’t know of you need to wait a year for
more testing. Maybe a second opinion?
I had TKR in 2004 and 2005 the only major pain I had was doing the exercises for the first 2 weeks and then a week or 2 of very tolerable pain. I have not had one problem with discomfort in all these years. They are close to failing and the wait time for TKR is over a year so being 80 with this disease doesn't seem possible.
I read all the comments and oh so many horror stories. I can't in my wildest of thoughts see why the surgeon wouldn't be immediately concerned. Maybe consult someone else if possible. I still can do stairs. My heart goes out to you, nerf. All the best. TRUTH

Yes, they will have you wait for at least a year. Hopefully, you will see improvement. I didn't.
