I also read about the potential relationship between statins and PN. Requested my GP change my Atorvastatin, that I had been taking for years , long before the PN developed. He prescribed Extimbe also. I’ve been in Extimbe for over two years and it seems to be controlling my cholesterol all right but has made no changes in the PN unfortunately. At least it is one less thing to be concerned about until they find a cure for PN…We can hope and pray for that day.

I read that Extimbe also has a statin called Rosuvastatin, and Rosuvastatin is also on the Foundation for PN list of statins that can cause PN:(.
