Numbers After SRT/ADT
I just received my post treatment results after SRT with 6 months of Orgovyx.
PSA < 0.05. Had been 0.18
before treatment.
T = 688. Was 610 before ADT
The 25 sessions of IGRT ended on 12/09/24 and ADT ended 2/07/25.
I am shocked at the recovery of T since it was only a whopping 3 after one month of Orgovyx. From all I read and from comments of others who had taken it, I thought it would only be about half this number.
While I am glad of its recovery, I must admit a bit of trepidation at its strong presence; I’m hoping it will not fuel any dying embers and get the ball rolling once again. As usual I have difficulty taking the “W” and going home…
Meeting with PA in 2 weeks to discuss the results. Best,
Phil

I competed 12 months of Orgovyx in April 2024 in conjunction with SBRT to a single lymph node identified in a PSMA PET scan.
T was 608 when I started. Three months after stopping, T was 328, three months after that, 445.
My oncologist stopped testing T at that point, may ask my PCM to include it in my annual labs.
Labs coming up on 12 May so we'll see, at least through January PSA was undetectable.
Similar to when I came off 18 months of Lupron, three months (roughly) after the last Lupron shot "cleared,' T was 184, by six months, 481.
In both cases, PSA did not return with then onset of T recovery, almost 4-1/2 years the first time, 12 months at this point the 2nd time pending the 12 May labs.
So, the question that go unanswered, if T is the fuel, then, why didn't my PSA rise with the onset of T recovery too?
My medical team just gives me the deer in the headlight look, they can't say, be happy they say!

I wish! I could lift weights for hours and never add muscle; the tone is good and I’m pretty strong for a skinny geek but I’ve never been able to bulk up….what the hell is all that T good for except feeding the cancer?!🤔
I’m assuming these were salvage treatments that you had?
The goal of ADT is to get T levels below 50 ng/dL. Yours dropped to 3.0 ng/dL which is very, very low.
Your numbers look good.
Thank you for the info Jeff - the trend is our friend, right?
Oh yeah, Orgovyx is a godsend - does the job and leaves fairly quickly (at least for me.
Though I can’t believe the T recovery either, especially at almost 71 years of age. Best,
Phil
Hey Kevin, YES!! Why, why, WHY? Maybe it’s like @retireddoc said about all the more aggressive clones being killed? He did have triplet SRT/ADT but perhaps it’s all relative. Thanks!
Phil
LOL!!
