Well, I can tell you my circumstance that after 20 years of pain I had my hips replaced and that did a great deal, but it didn’t solve the problem. Having surgery at L3, L4, L5, solve the problem of the back pain. You should visit with a couple orthopedic surgeons. I used to live with a 2 ton gorilla on my back. That gorilla faded away after my back surgery and I got back to sleeping at night after 30 years of misery. Don’t just visit one orthopedic surgeon visit as many as you need to to find one that you trust. Make sure that you’ve done an hour and a half of exercise every day to strengthen your core. People don’t want to hear that exercises the answer, but I know people who have bad Bax who escape surgery by doing an hour and a half to three hours a day of exercise. I’m sorry but I’d rather have the surgery than do that 😊. In my case, the pain never entirely went away because my coxes or tailbone is damaged and nobody wants to touch that so I take light dose Percocet every day to manage the tailbone pain that is just “there“ and distracts me from the daily aspects of living. I’ve accepted that over 30 years
