I am 8 months TKR and still experiencing neuropathy in my foot. The neurologist said that if this is not better after 2 years, this numbness in my foot will be here to stay. I agree with you that the recovery pain is rough after TKR but gradually I am able to walk more each day and I try to do the stationary bike every day. Stairs are still difficult as are low toilets. Keep working at it and try to get some good sleep. My orthopedic surgeon said that is when we heal. I was a slow healer as I not able to sleep for the first 3 months. Hope you feel better soon.

I agree with the sleep part. I am 7 weeks out. I was no sleeping due to discomfort. My doctor suggested 1 Tylenol Pm and 1 extra strength Tylenol at night. It is working very good so far.

you can buy a raised toilet seat with arm handles on Amazon. I was so glad to have it as it made it
comfortable to sit on the toilet. I was not able to sleep
for the first four months due to pain and could barely function. Now better for last four nights. This is a very
challenging recovery. Good luck with your sleep.
