Lumbosacral Stenosis and Lumbar Radiculopothy
What treatments for these conditions after Physical Therapy doesn’t help?
Physical Therapy just causes more pain at this point.
I told the Orthopedic Doctor that I didn’t want surgery and at this point I may reconsider.

What are your current symptoms and what levels of your spine are affected? What does your X-ray and MRI report list as impressions/issues?
Have you tried any other treatments beyond physical therapy?
Have you seen a neurologist for full evaluation and testing (EMG/nerve conduction studies, etc.)?
No Neurologist, when I asked about seeing a Neurologist at one point but was told the nerve test (multiple pin pricking test) for approx 15-20 minutes on legs showed it wasn’t necessary to see a Neurologist.
So, I went to Orthopedic for lumbar pain n outer thigh and presently doing Physical Therapy of which intensifies the burning and shooting pain and numbness.
But as the old saying goes ‘Physical Therapy is going to hurt’ so I just grin and bear it
I’d have to look up the last MRI to know all the things found in spine, don’t memorize it all because not everything isn’t advanced enough to be the problem…my physical therapy is for Lumbar Stenosis
My symptoms are in my left outer thigh-it feels like hot fire shooting down my left outer thigh (especially w/ standing) and any laying on left side, it’s always a slight numbness (has been numb feeling for many years and that seems to never go away), and a lot of times just sharp stabbing like knife like pain in my left thigh (painful where I have to move quick to get any relief), itching in different places in the left outer thigh lately mainly in the top left thigh where the hip meets.
And, if course my lower lumbar is frequently sore and sensitive.
Many years ago I had my Illiotibial band lengthened (due to bursitis and painful clicking), and approx 3 years ago had a small hairline fracture in the tailbone from a fall which took months to recover from the pain.
*Radiculopothy was not diagnosed by Orthopedic…it was noted after seeing Physical Therapist
