I was diagnosed three weeks ago. Taking 20 mg Prednisone in am. When I have pain, its usually in my wrists, hands and right knee. Funny that my left wrist and hand have more swelling but less pain than the right. I'm very jittery and lightheaded until mid-afternoon.

The jittery feeling is probably from prednisone. It’s a side effect that can cause some cardiac issues, therefore I weaned off it the second time around. PMR is an illusive health issue for many people. As soon as you think you’re over it, it returns! I’m in my second flare in two years, I take no prednisone because it raised my blood pressure, so now I take Tylenol, rest my spine as often as possible, and just try to deal with the pain as well as I can.
