There's a saying in the fat community (where problems with healthcare are rampant), If your doctor does not listen to you or believe you, you are not receiving healthcare - you are receiving veterinary care. (I add to it, "and if I'm receiving vet care, I reserve the right to bite or pee on my provider".) Unless the type of doctor is hard to find in your area or under your insurance, there is no reason to put up with a doctor who will not listen. When you have a healthcare problem (and even when you don't), you need to have a partner - not an adversary. Good luck.
