Abiraterone Acetate: What were your side effects?
Hi, was wondering if anyone is having increased and un bearing side effects from their abiraterone acetate. In my case my insurance company is pushing me to take this medication distributed by Apotex. Excessive sweats and constipation issues. Read whereas this company had numerous violations by the FDA. Price fixing, the biggie is quality control. About the money not patient care. The prescription company I am talking about is humana Medicare.

It’s pretty clear you are castrate resistant, and the drugs are not working for you. At this point, I would think they’d want to do chemo or Pluvicto (lu 177).
Since they have now approved Pluvicto For people who have not had chemo, This may be good for you to try first. Speak to your doctor about that, Find out why one procedure would be better for you than the other.
You may want to have somatic genetic testing to see if any Genetic changes have occurred. They can affect how well Pluvicto works. If you have no genetic issues in your hereditary test, you could still have somatic issues come up in your cancer cells.
Pluvicto genetic issues
RB1, PTen, TP53 are Pluvicto resistant
ATM & BRCA work better with Pluvicto
Since you’ve already had Enzalutamide it is unlikely Darolutamide will work any better . Ask your doctor about this.
I am a little puzzled about your reaction to different brands of the same drug. I had three different abiraterone brands In the 2 1/2 years, I took it. Didn’t notice any difference at all between them. My side effects were always the same.
Is it possible there was something besides Abbie that was causing the problem?
My PSMA PET Scan approved me for LU 177 Oncologist waiting to see blood results PSA Monday
Abiraterone not working in my view Radiated T 4 to T 10 and hip at leg joint Pain meds now as shoulder still painful
I did genetic test and no family history
Concern over LU 177 affects and OS as they say 15 months once you start it
If you want to compare a different brand of abiraterone, see if you can find one at a different pharmacy that works with one of the discount coupon programs like GoodRx that provides a very good cash price and doesn't involve your insurance company.

Thanks for your response. It's a Indvidual issue. Certain people will react differently. The time I switched to apotex the side effects were unbearable. Nothing else changed. The other major point I was making, and I see people didn't catch on was when this does happen, your insurance provider should work with you.
I use Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus for Abiraterone Acetate. Costs me $78/month for a month’s supply of 1000 mg daily. Delivered by mail, with tax, comes to around $85. Doesn’t go through insurance. Been using it for one year so far. One more year to go.
