Thanks for sharing this article. I haven’t seen a doctor yet, my height is 5’6 and weight about 52kgs. I can’t run fast and difficulty going upstairs without support. This maybe a genetic problem because my mother feels the same. This situation is since my childhood. Need some guidance . Thanks

Custom orthotics and support shoes help. $800 is about what both those things will cost. A Podiatrist can fit you for the orthotics and tell you which support shoe brands to buy.

Orthotics help a lot for people with high arches and I would know! It can also help to get a professional foot, ankle and calf massage.

I've had orthotics made by a podiatrist and it does cost about $800 or higher. If insurance doesn't cover this, get orthotics can be found at:

I've been wearing these for about 6 months, and my feet and especially my lower back feel so much better. Stabilizing the feet helps to stabilize the entire skeleton.
